Steamboat Sonic - a 1930’s cartooning interpretation of Sonic the Hedgehog… Or maybe the game if released a decade earlier? At any rate, I used to love Sonic when I was a kid. Then he went on the Dreamcast, gained some horrible sidekick characters, and began to recite some terrible scripts. I’d love to see him rebooted without any ‘friend characters,’ simplify his design again, make him speak only in word bubbles, and bring the gameplay back to what made the series great. I’ve actually been thinking about doing a miniseries of my own take of Sonic’s origin story, using the style above (and none of the furry crap.)
I need to scan more stuff; in the mean time, here’s the colored character art of Cryptohuntress from the comic cover!

I’ve been skimpy on actual content for a while; mostly just too lazy to scan my doodles lately! He’s part of a sketch I’ve done for my latest job - part of a logo for a podcast. I’m designing the site as well, but this young lady will be part of the show’s emblem. As you can see, I’ve been doing blue-line work now.
